We occasionally use only mild sedation (Midazolam 0.5 mg per kg body weight maximum 20 mg according to BNF October 2015) in children aged 2-16 year old 30-60 minutes before the circumcision according to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline of sedation policy
