Adult Circumcision

Introduction
If you are considering circumcision for medical reasons, religious beliefs, or if you’re looking for remedial surgery, we invite you to choose the largest dedicated circumcision clinic in the UK.
Our private clinic offers flexible appointments with trained specialists and urologists who ensure you receive the highest level of care and discretion.
The benefits and risks associated with adult circumcision are well understood, thanks to our years of experience. We warmly welcome Jewish and Islamic uncircumcised males to reach out for a private and confidential conversation.
A flexible package to suit your needs is available
Preparation
All men will need a pre-operative consultation, which can conveniently be arranged on the same day as your operation or before the operation. There is no charge for the consultation if the circumcision is done that day.
The full service includes:
- A consultation with your surgeon to discuss and finalise your requirements
- The operation is conducted in specially dedicated clinical facilities
- Aftercare consultation with the surgeon and a 24/7 emergency service for your peace of mind
Methods
For adult circumcision, we use the forceps-guided, sleeve, or freehand method.
The procedure is performed with subcutaneous stitches and skin glue, which are preferred by many as they leave fewer suture marks on the skin.
Benefits of Forceps-Guided Circumcision for Adults
At our clinic, the Forceps Guided or Sleeve Resection procedure is completed quickly for your convenience. We use a local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort, and with dissolvable stitches or glue, there’s no need for a follow-up visit unless you request one.
Skin glue is also available as an alternative to sutures, offering benefits such as reduced postoperative pain and faster recovery.
Please do not hesitate to ask us for more information.
This procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, ensuring you feel comfortable right away and can head home as soon as your surgeon completes a post-operative check.
Benefits of Staplers Circumcision for Adults
- Minimal Discomfort: The use of local anaesthesia and advanced cutting technology reduces pain during and after the procedure.
- Quick Recovery: Thanks to the precision and minimal invasiveness of the Staplers method.
- Aesthetic Results: The method ensures a neat and aesthetically pleasing outcome, which is an essential factor for many adults considering circumcision.
- Reduced Risk of Complications: Enhanced precision reduces the likelihood of excessive bleeding and infection, leading to a safer circumcision experience.

Aftercare
Once you’re ready to go home after the operation, you can drive, but we recommend taking short breaks to stretch your legs, especially if your drive is longer than two hours.
Immediate of operation
After your operation, it’s normal for the area to be swollen and bruised due to the anaesthetic and handling during the procedure.
Rest assured, these effects will gradually lessen over the next week or two.
The Bandage
The bandage will usually be wrapped snugly around the penis. If you need more, you can obtain Sterile Gauze Swabs (in 4 packs) and Micropore Tape (1 inch) from your pharmacy or GP practice nurse.
You’ll want to remove the bandage after 24 hours.
The Glue
The glue will naturally dissolve within 5 to 10 days.
Please avoid applying any liquid or ointment medications, or any other products, to the wound while the glue is still in place. You can shower 24 hours after the operation, but please avoid baths until the wound is completely healed.
When showering, gently blot the area with a soft towel—no soaking or scrubbing! Any sutures used will dissolve in about three weeks.
Pain Relief
You may find you need some pain relief for a few days following the procedure; please follow the instructions on the packet.
Avoid taking Aspirin or other medications that may thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding.
Erections
To lessen the impact of night-time erections and prevent pulling on the wound during the first few days, try to empty your bladder before bed and a few times throughout the night.
Healing
For optimal healing, it’s advisable to take a week off work or school. If you need to return, please limit your activities to those that are sedentary.
Heavy lifting, driving, or strenuous exercise (like cardio, contact sports, cycling, or swimming) should be avoided for three weeks. Healing times can vary, but it’s best to allow at least six weeks.
If you need a letter for work or school, ask at reception on the day of your procedure.
Patients with Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO) and/or an inflamed surgical site will require both oral and topical antibiotics.
